Research Innovation Program
Dust Networks, a pioneer and leading provider of intelligent wireless sensor networking systems (WSN), is pleased to sponsor the Research Innovation Program. The Research Innovation Program is designed to foster continued innovation in WSN within the academic and research community.
Innovation comes from many sources, and in the same spirit of innovation that encouraged Professor Kris Pister to co-found Dust Networks, we invite you to join fellow researchers as they drive forward with novel research and applications in the exciting field of wireless sensor networks.
Research Innovation Program Components
The Research Innovation Program is comprised of two key components to enable researchers to develop applications based on Dust Networks industry-proven technology and to share information and knowledge with colleagues:
- SmartMesh-XT Research Development Kit
The SmartMesh-XT® Research Development Kit provides all the tools necessary for quick and easy prototyping and application development. The kit is available in both 900 MHz and 2.4 GHz versions. Included in each kit is a network manager, demonstration network devices, an example control application (SmartMesh Console), documentation, and software that make it easy to begin developing your WSN applications. - Research Support Community
Once you have purchased the SmartMesh-XT Research Development Kit, you will have access to the Dust Networks Research Support Community. The Research Support Community is an online support forum with a moderator available to answer your questions. The Support Community is also a valuable resource for networking with others pursuing research in the field and to share information, solve problems and find practical solutions in a broad range of wireless sensor networking applications.
