DN2040 MoC

Dust Networks’ SmartMesh-XD™ network-ready System-on-Chip (SoC) products combine extremely low-power radio technology and robust networking capabilities with the industry-proven Time Synchronized Mesh Protocol (TSMP™) in an easy to integrate Mote-on-Chip™ (MoC). The DN2040 allows OEMs to build solutions for the global market, and is tailored for use in battery- and line-powered wireless devices for applications that demand proven performance and scalability.

The DN2040 MoC combines a microprocessor and a standard IEEE 802.15.4 compliant, 2.4 GHz radio with an innovative design that consumes up to 80% less power than comparable commercially available radios. This dramatic decrease in power consumption provides OEMs with broad flexibility when designing battery-operated or power scavenging monitoring and control devices.

The multi-functional interface of the DN2040 MoC gives it the flexibility to be used in a wide variety of monitoring and control applications. Each network-ready DN2040 requires no embedded programming or complex configuration, enabling OEMs to reduce the development time and cost for wireless sensor networking solutions.  The combination of extremely high reliability and low-power consumption in a DN2040 enables applications that require very low installation cost for low-maintenance, long-term deployments.
