ROD POWELL JOINS DUST NETWORKS BOARD OF DIRECTORS Hayward, Calif., – February 2, 2007 – Dust Networks, the leading provider of highly reliable, ultra low-power embedded wireless sensor networking (WSN) systems, today announced that Rod Powell, an industrial automation veteran, has joined the company's Board of Directors. “Rod brings a wealth of experience in the industrial market, which is a primary focus for Dust,” said Joy Weiss, President and CEO of Dust Networks. “His expertise and hands-on knowledge in industrial automation is a great asset to the company as we continue to deliver leading monitoring and control solutions to our OEM customers and drive the broad adoption of wireless sensor networking technology.” Powell is currently a partner at RJ Investments (RJI) and leads various consultancy and investment projects in the U.S. and the U.K. Prior to joining RJI, Powell served in various leadership roles at Invensys, a global industrial automation, controls and transportation group, from 2000-2004 including senior vice president of corporate planning, chief executive of Invensys Controls Division, and president of the Utility Metering Systems Business Unit. In his role as president of the Controls Division, Powell was responsible for leading seven business units including appliance and climate controls, meters, sensors, building systems, fractional motors and home controls. Prior to Invensys, Powell served as CEO of Fujitsu ICL Retail Systems in Dallas, Texas, and held various operational and financial roles at Texas Instruments in the U.S. and Europe.
