Senior Field Applications Engineer
Dust Networks seeks an experienced and energetic Senior Field Applications Engineer to join our growing Sales Team.
Qualifications
- BSEE or advanced degree in engineering or related technical field plus 5+ years experience as an FAE or in a technical customer interaction position
- Solid experience with software/hardware systems required. Embedded systems and/or wireless networking systems knowledge would be a plus
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
- Self-starter, results-oriented, team player with high personal drive and commitment
- Able to effectively manage multiple tasks and priorities, and devise creative solutions to new and existing problems
Position Description
This Senior FAE will be responsible for pre- and post- sales support in the design-in process for wireless mesh networking solutions. Pre-sales tasks include delivering technical presentations and defining system level solutions for OEMs, working closely with the Sales team with the end goal of obtaining design wins. Post-sales functions include working with our Engineering team on integration of software, hardware and firmware to support OEM’s that are integrating our mesh networking solutions into their systems and applications. The Senior FAE will play a key role in our client’s pre-sales, post-sales and product development process and help educate customers on Dust’s wireless mesh networking applications. This position will be located in our corporate offices in Hayward, CA.
Responsibilities
- Be the primary technical point of contact for customers and strategic partners
- Reproduce customer problems for software/hardware engineering to debug and work with the applications development team to integrate into the customer solution
- Use technical knowledge of our client’s products and associated development tools to assist customers in their applications
- Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with customers’ technical teams and internal product development groups
- Contribute to product development by determining customer product needs and translating those needs into new product recommendations
- Willing to travel
