Product Line Manager

Dust Networks is looking for a Product Line Manager to help define the future of wireless sensor networking. This exciting role requires a highly skilled individual well versed in networking systems, wireless technology, and ASIC development.

Qualifications

  • BSEE/CS or equivalent plus 5 – 10 years related experience in product management / marketing of internetworking product, technologies and applications. MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred

  • Experience with embedded wireless systems and / or highly integrated system-on-chip solutions, with applications in low power wireless, ZigBee, WiFi, or WiMax a real plus.
  • Extensive knowledge of and sustained expertise with relevant wireless and networking technologies (examples include: 802.15, 802.11, sensor networking, mesh routing, etc…)
  • Experience with technical competitive analysis to help drive new product development or enhancement, and to train sales force on competitive positioning
  • Able to synthesize complex technical and market issues, develop insight into and solutions for those challenges and gain acceptance and commitment from others.
  • Position Description

    As Product Line Manager, you will be responsible for embedded wireless mesh networking systems and solutions, and will be specifying and executing on the next generation of wireless networking products, including: overall roadmap, product definition, product lifecycle strategies, and on-going technology assessment within the context of the competitive landscape. In this highly visible, high impact position, you will drive OEM market initiatives for wireless sensor networking platforms, and will collaborate extensively across Dust’s engineering, sales and marketing leadership team to establish overall roadmap alignment and work closely with program management to execute product plans. Experience in the highly integrated wireless networking systems and embedded device markets, with an in-depth understanding of networking systems, wireless technology, ASIC development, and communications protocols is highly desirable. The role requires strong analytical and technical skills, and a successful candidate will have a demonstrated track record of leading virtual teams and delivering on stretch goals.

    Travel: 10 – 20%
